For those who don’t know what I writing in Chinese, it goes this way… erm.. bt it may sound alittle weird, cos of the direct translation I did :S
Cried till the eyes turned red, the nose has also turned to red.
Droplets of tears roll down, without knowing when it will stop.
No matter where I walk too, tears still flow in the eyes.
The heart feels unwell, while in the brain appear images of your smiles and cares.
Days without your, it seems helpless and loneliness.
How am I going to be strong again, it is still a question mark?
Perhaps it was more than just the mixed feeling that made me felt horrible here.
From the very start of the day, everything didn’t run well at all. Plus having not enough sleep from the night flight made the whole trip so tiring.
From the very start of my day, my luggage falls out of the “extended trunk” of the mini bus (that fetched us to the hotel) and off the road it went. Luckily, a cute police traffic lady managed to pick it up from the road and return it back to the mini bus driver.
After that, more and more horrible things happened. Firstly, I got soo much problem finding internet access. It is not as simple like in Singapore. Even after enrolling into my course, I could not even access into the school internet. Luckily one of the school stuff lends me her user ID to access into the internet for me to activate my prepaid phone card and check my emails.
From there, I got to know that another 2 landlord has rented out their house already (which means I have even lesser choice of housing to choose from). And apparently, there are a lot of people here looking for housing near the university, so competition was fierce.
Soon after, I tried activating my prepaid SIM card online. However, after like 6hrs from the time I activate it online, it is still not working. And apparently, down here is not like Singapore, where their prepaid card takes time to activate it. Where caused me soo much trouble of contacting the landlords. And using the public phone in Australia is soo expensive. They charged 50cent once you call through, and almost every 15sec they charged you another 50 cent. In total, I spend $3buck just contacting one of my landlord to confirm viewing his house from my school.
The only lucky thing is he came to pick me up from the Uni :D
Oh anyway, in the end I will be renting the room from him. So I am officially going to stay with this late 20s China couple. The furniture of the housing was not very fantastic, but some good things about the place are that it is reasonably near the school and they are friendly and sociable. And the wife is a good cook and she does the house work and stuff. In addition they have a car, so they are willing to fetch me together to do some grocery shopping and stuff. The wife is also a UQ student studying Master in translation, so at least I can ask her some stuff about the uni.
While viewing the house, there is another person who came to view the house too. This shows how competitive is the competition to even get a house there :S And apparently, they were deciding between me and another Malaysian boy. But as the Malaysian boy could not confirm when he is going to shift in, thus, they decided on me instead.
After confirming the housing and stuffs, I finally can start having “Lunch”. As straight from the airport early in the morning, I went to school immediately and view the house after that, with soo much incidents happening in between that I did not even had lunch till 5pm. And when I finally though I can eat something good food down the street of my hotel, all the shops were closing already. End up I had Subway for my dinner.
I really felt my life was soo much miserable here than in Singapore for the whole day. Apart from the expenses that are soo ex, everything is not that easily accessible as compare to Singapore. I do not even remembering I having such problems than when I was in Shanghai. Hai….
Anyway, really want to thanks soo much to you guys for sending me off. Your should know who you are :D Oh and thanks soo much for the gifts too :D. Gonna miss you guys lots :D Seriously, how I wish you guys were here. Life will be soo much better :D Just hope I will have great classmates when school starts :D
Oh and if you see me online, do chat with me, cause internet here also not cheap at all lol.. :D
